What are the recommended Certs to open a computer repair shop?

Rather what are the Recommended/Required Certifications/Degree(s) should i have to open a computer repair shop in the next 3-5 years?

The only real certification you “need” is A+. It helps you understand how all the components of a computer work, how to troubleshoot them, and how to repair them. If you want to work on software as well I would Suggest MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Tech) for Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Actually, you don’t need any! As long as you have enough money to make your store look decent, have at least one tech, one sales person and one front desk/receiving person, have decent uniforms and good lighting and lots of stock and a good ad campaign, no one will actually ask about your credentials.
Of course, if you don’t give good service, your business will die within 6 months. But that’s the chance you take…
Don’t try to start up without at least $50 – $70K, you won’t get anywhere…
