Why doesn’t my cable internet service come with free virus removal?

I pay a flat fee around 25 bucks a month for internet service. It includes McAfee Security Center but not Virus Removal.
Shouldn’t this be included for free as part of my service?
Seems like such a simple thing to do for their customers.

Maybe it is, but why would you trust your computer to them? That is like letting a stranger hold your purse. That probably isn’t a real problem, but with so many free antivirus programs out there, get a free one. filehippo.com has 2 or 3. Avast and AVG are my 2 favorites.

If your internet provider rhymes with “LAST”, then their security center removes viruses.
